Newton High School is located in the rural community of Newton and is the proud home of the Tigers! Newton High School is the only high school in the Newton Municipal School District. Our small population (approximately 250 students in grades 9 -12) allows us to focus on the needs of each individual student thus providing them with the best possible plan for their future.

Our 25+ highly qualified faculty and staff works to provide the highest level of education possible to each individual student. We embrace every student's difference and work to inspire them by providing various opportunities for each and every student to grow. We offer numerous classes that target individual's interests, such as: culinary arts, allied health, art, theater, Spanish, and Law & Public Safety. For those individual's who have a passion for higher learning, we are partnered with East Central Community College and William Carey University to offer a number of Dual Enrollment classes that enable our students to attain up to 18 hours worth of college credit prior to graduation.

In addition, we have worked with purpose the last several years to grow our student's success on the ACT which has led to numerous scholarship and monetary awards to graduates.

The purpose of the faculty and staff at Newton High School is to embrace every student in hopes that showing their pride and passion in what they do every day will inspire all those they come in contact with, resulting in both personal and academic growth that will prepare each student for every challenge he/she face.
