Greetings, Tiger Nation!

I have been an educator for over 14 years, having taught in Florida, Arkansas, Hattiesburg, MS, and Newton Municipal School District for 7 years, while previously serving in the capacities of a Classroom Teacher & Coach, Lead Teacher and Assistant Principal.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from The University of Mississippi, Master’s in Educational Leadership and Specialist in School Administration from Mississippi State University, and am currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Mississippi State University.

I am very fortunate to be working with such an amazing staff at Newton High School who are all passionate about increasing student achievement.  The mission of Newton Municipal School District is that all students will graduate college and career ready. 

The goal at Newton High School is to "Raise the Bar of Excellence" by increasing Attendance, ACT scores, Growth and Proficiency in all areas and Graduating all students College and Career Ready through a cohesive and collaborative culture.

I truly believe that all students can learn and will succeed with increased learning capacity. The goal is to build lifelong learners.
